Company Profile

BK Electric was founded in 1995 by Thomas Karnowka. Thomas graduated with a BSEE degree from Colorado State University in 1990. Having worked in the design engineering group of a blossoming consumer electronics company (now a Fortune-500 company) for over five years, Thomas was directly involved in all aspects of product development from component-level circuit design through production ramp-up in Singapore, Korea, Hong Kong, and Mexico.

Recognizing the need for affordable, low-overhead, out-sourced engineering and manufacturing services by entrepreneurs and large corporations alike, and pursuing a personal passion for electronics design, Thomas founded BK Electric on the principal that the road to product development should be easily accessible to a broad range of customers without compromising integrity, service quality, workmanship, attention to detail, or ongoing long-term support.

Over the years, BK Electric has established a solid foundation with clients in a broad range of industries including Consumer Electronics, Industrial Controls, Automotive and Marine Electronics, and Power Conversion. Our design engineering strengths include battery-powered equipment, microcontroller-based electronic controls, analog and digital signal conditioning, and other custom monitoring and control systems.
